Our Veterans Day luncheon speaker will be JONATHAN DESHOTELS, an Abbeville native, retired from the National Guard but also a mud engineer by profession.
Jonathan Deshotels began his career as a mud engineer after graduating from Louisiana State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. He has worked in that capacity as an Independent and as a Consultant for various drilling firms for eighteen years. For the past two years he has been a field supervisor and drilling fluids coordinator for Pioneer Natural Resources, now working in West Texas. He joined the Louisiana National Guard in 1994 and served over 24 years, retiring at the rank of First Sergeant in 2019. His service included two deployments into Iraq, in 2004-05 and in 2010-11. In his capacity of serving in the National Guard while simultaneously working within the oil and gas industry, through several companies with different philosophies as well as different policies and procedures about employees in the military, Mr. Deshotels is aptly qualified to discuss this topic of his presentation: “The Evolution of the National Guard and The Private Workplace.”
Please attend our November luncheon on November 11 and show your support for this worthy veteran, and invite any veteran you know to accompany you.
