Mr. Steven Giambrone graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering and has worked for the Office of Conservation since 2002.

He joined the Office working in the Engineering Division regulating oil & gas drilling and production facilities and managed the underwater obstruction removal program. In 2008 he joined the Pipeline Division as the staff engineer and in 2015, was appointed director of the Office of Conservation’s Pipeline Division.

The Pipeline Division is responsible for administering the State’s Pipeline Operations Program, Gas and Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety Programs, Underground Natural Gas Storage Inspection Program and Damage Prevention Program on pipeline right of ways.

Mr. Giambrone has worked with the Louisiana Law Institute on pipeline and landowner issues at the request of the Louisiana Legislature and also represents the National Association of Pipeline Safety Representatives on the Council for Dredging and Marine Construction Safety Pipeline Task Force, the API RP 1185 Pipeline Public Engagement Committee and the Common Ground Alliance’s “Best Practices Committee”.
